Musk Eyes $100T SpaceX Barring Major World War as $800 Stock Target & Tesla Merger Talk Build

SpaceX stock

Elon Musk has put a notable number on SpaceX’s future. This valuation is above $100 trillion within a decade, provided a major world war does not intervene. SpaceX stock also has an $800 target from Raymond James, while Barclays sees a possible combination with Tesla approaching the announcement stage. Those expectations span very different timelines, but they leave investors thinking about the same question. How much of Elon Musk’s expanding technology empire can translate into shareholder value?

Raymond James reiterated its Strong Buy rating and $800 SpaceX price target, pointing to plans for a substantial increase in Starship operations.

According to reporting on the analyst note, an October 13 FAA filing proposes environmental review for up to 456 launches and 912 landings annually at Boca Chica, Texas. The initial phase seeks 100 launches a year, compared with 25 currently authorized.

The investment case extends beyond launch revenue. More frequent flights could accelerate Starlink deployment and support proposed computing infrastructure in orbit. Raymond James estimates that 100 flights could carry roughly 6,000 next-generation Starlink satellites annually, assuming 60 satellites per flight.

Those figures describe potential capacity. Regulatory approval, reliable operations, and successful reuse remain necessary before that scale becomes achievable.

Musk’s $100 Trillion SpaceX Valuation Forecast Raises the Stakes

Musk’s prediction stretches much further than a conventional stock target. Recent reports reveal a post saying SpaceX would probably exceed $100 trillion in less than 10 years, unless a major world war occurs.

It is his personal forecast. The statement does not establish a financial roadmap showing how revenue, profits, or cash flow would support that valuation. It also differs from Raymond James’ $800 per-share target in both scope and timeframe.

Tesla-SpaceX Merger Talk Centers on AI and Control

A potential Tesla-SpaceX merger introduces a more immediate corporate question. In addition, Barclays analysts led by Dan Levy see a possible announcement ahead of Tesla’s annual meeting, expected by December 6 at the latest. Their rationale emphasizes combining the companies’ AI technologies.

It should be noted that SpaceX acquiring Tesla through an all-stock transaction is Barclays’ likely scenario. This would make valuation and exchange terms central issues for Tesla stockholders.

That assessment does not confirm a transaction. For SPCX stock investors, the next developments to watch are concrete this includes launch approvals, operating progress, and any formal proposal explaining what a combination would cost and deliver.

How SpaceX Stock Returns Compare With Tesla

The ambitious forecasts contrast with recent returns. MarketCapOf’s comparison tool shows that a hypothetical $2,000 investment in SpaceX stock from June 12 to October 15, 2026, would have fallen to $1,890.89, a 5.46% loss.

The same investment in Tesla stock over that period would have declined to $1,801.39, down 9.93%. SpaceX therefore preserved $89.50 more of the initial investment, although both stocks finished below their starting values.
