Meta stock rose 3.4% on Monday as the company introduced Muse Wonder, giving investors a new product to assess against its enormous AI spending. Mark Zuckerberg says Meta has caught up with leading developers, while Wall Street’s average price target sits near $808. Shares were already climbing before the afternoon announcement, however. The launch now faces a longer test if the stronger models can attract customers who keep using them and are willing to pay.

Muse Wonder Gives Meta a Stronger AI Offering

Meta released Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full on October 12, describing them as its most capable models for personal and professional AI agents. This pushed the price of Meta stock up by 3.4%, and it sits at $742.96 over the past 24 hours.
According to Meta’s announcement, the models were trained at its Prometheus data center. They emphasize remembering relevant information across conversations, sustaining work on difficult tasks, and handling longer software projects.
Muse Wonder is available through the Meta Model API and Muse Code. Wonder Full is available to Muse Code subscribers, with broader Muse integration planned to reach subscribers first.
Zuckerberg told the Financial Times that Meta had reached the AI frontier. The company claims advantages over OpenAI and Anthropic models on selected benchmarks, although those comparisons do not establish superiority across every task.
For investors, the subscriber rollout offers an early opportunity to see whether those capabilities translate into repeat usage.

The Meta Price Target Suggests Modest Upside
The TipRanks Meta stock forecast reading on October 13 showed an average 12-month target of $808.18, implying 8.78% upside from its $742.96 reference price.

The Strong Buy consensus comprised 39 Buy ratings, six Hold ratings, and no Sell ratings. Individual targets ranged from $580 to $1,000, showing considerably more disagreement than the headline rating suggests.
These recommendations cover the preceding three months. They should be read as the existing Wall Street outlook, rather than a collective response to Muse Wonder’s launch.
Meta AI Spending Raises the Commercial Stakes
Better models arrive with a substantial bill. Meta’s second-quarter earnings release projected 2026 capital expenditures of $130 billion–$145 billion.
During that quarter, operating cash flow reached $31.86 billion, but capital expenditures, including finance lease principal payments, consumed $31.08 billion. Free cash flow was $784 million.
This leaves META stock investors watching more than benchmark rankings. Subscriber retention, paid adoption, and revenue from the new products will help reveal whether the investment is earning its keep. Muse Wonder strengthens Meta’s product lineup, and future earnings will show how much that improvement contributes to the business.
