QNT Price Rally Draws $4M in Whale Deposits After Clearing House Deal

QNT price

QNT’s late-September rally has brought dormant wallets back into view. Two addresses inactive for more than three years deposited a combined 17,250 tokens, worth about $4 million at the time, to Binance, Coinbase and Kraken, according to reports. The moves came as the QNT price climbed severalfold in days and large transfers across the network spiked. Exchange deposits can precede a sale, though neither wallet has been shown to sell. Their next moves may say more than these transfers do.

Recent data shows Quant price closing at $70.68 on September 23 and $340 on September 28. That is a fourfold rise in four days, though the token has traded unevenly since. In addition, the latest data showed a 287% weekly gain.

One wallet tracked by Lookonchain sent 8,250 QNT, valued at roughly $1.88 million, to Binance. The second moved 34,200 QNT after more than three years of inactivity, then deposited 9,000 tokens worth about $2.12 million to Coinbase and Kraken. Together, the deposits put roughly $4 million in QNT on exchanges. The larger movement from the second wallet should not be counted as an exchange deposit in full.

The activity reaches beyond those two addresses. Santiment reported 645 QNT transactions worth at least $100,000 in one day, the highest count shown on its chart. That measures large transfers, not 645 separate Quant whales, and it does not establish whether the people behind them were buying or selling.

The Bank News Behind Quant’s Rally

The price move followed a recent announcement from The Clearing House. It selected Quant to help power a planned US network for clearing and settling tokenized bank deposits, with connections to its existing RTP and CHIPS payment systems. The Clearing House says its payment networks clear and settle more than $2 trillion daily. But the new network is expected to become available to participating institutions in the first half of 2027.

Quant has a more immediate example in Britain. UK Finance says a seven-bank initiative completed live customer transactions on a platform built by Quant, including two remortgage completions and a consumer purchase. Those were live pilots, with more work planned.

Neither announcement says banks must buy QNT tokens to use the technology. For traders watching the rally now on-chain as old wallets have begun moving, and some of their tokens have reached exchanges.
