- Meta stock faces potential dilution as the company launches $35 billion in offerings within a broader $95 billion AI funding plan
- Nvidia, AMD and Broadcom have expressed nonbinding interest in buying up to $5 billion of Meta shares combined
- Meta expects $135 billion–$145 billion in capital spending in 2026, raising pressure to turn its AI investments into earnings
Meta is turning to the stock market to help pay for its AI ambitions, and three of its chip suppliers could join the buying. Nvidia, AMD and Broadcom are considering investments as part of a funding plan worth up to $95 billion. For Meta stockholders, the extra cash comes with potential dilution. Whether that trade-off pays off will depend on the fundraising total and how quickly the spending translates into earnings.

Meta Starts With $35 Billion in Offerings

Meta announced approximately $35 billion in public offerings on October 26, comprising $22.5 billion in Class A common stock through forward sale agreements and $12.5 billion in mandatory convertible preferred securities.
A further $60 billion share-sale program is planned after its new Class C stock begins trading, potentially starting in early 2027. Together, these make up the roughly $95 billion financing plan. The full amount has not been raised.
New issuance can dilute existing investors’ ownership, but the timing and eventual share count depend on the offering terms, conversion arrangements, and future sales. Reports revealed that the fundraising will support Meta’s costly expansion of data centers, computing capacity, and other AI infrastructure.

Chip Suppliers Could Become Investors
The potential Nvidia investment forms part of a combined indication of interest from Nvidia, AMD and Broadcom for up to $5 billion of common shares. Their interest is nonbinding, and the purchases would sit within the offering rather than add another $5 billion to the total.
This would deepen the financial relationship between Meta and three companies competing for AI hardware business. It also raises a question for investors about how much future spending will return to the suppliers providing some of the capital. No guaranteed chip orders were disclosed.
Meta AI spending is already substantial. The company expects capital expenditures of $135 billion to $145 billion in 2026, according to its official announcement.
What Would Meta Stock Be Worth at Nvidia’s Market Cap?
MarketCapOf’s comparison tool puts Meta stock at a hypothetical $2,000.46 per share if its market value matched Nvidia’s roughly $5.10 trillion, with Meta’s share count unchanged. This is approximately 3.12 times the displayed price of $641.55.

Under that scenario, 2,000 Meta shares would be worth about $4 million. The calculation illustrates the valuation gap, rather than predicting a return. Additional shares issued through Meta’s funding plan would change the calculation.
For shareholders, the immediate question is whether the AI expansion can generate enough earnings to justify both the spending and the dilution. Chipmaker participation could help fund construction, but the returns will depend on how profitably Meta uses that capacity.
