The Cathie Wood AI portfolio is up for a change. The Ark Invest CEO has once again reshuffled her AI stock portfolio, showing her attempt to make strategic AI investments. Wood has cut her positions in Palantir and AMD while increasing her exposure in Nvidia. The move comes as China has recently allowed limited shipments of Nvidia’s H200 AI chips to major tech companies such as Tencent and ByteDance. As AI tech continues to move aggressively, the development also shows China’s continued push to strengthen its position in the AI race.

Ark Invest’s latest portfolio moves reflect its rising inclinations towards AI. However, the firm’s recent changes in stock portfolio are also suggestive of strategic thinking and the company’s cautious stance.

The Ark Invest AI Portfolio is once again being reshuffled. The company’s CEO, Cathie Wood, has purchased 101,356 Nvidia shares worth $22.8M based on Nvidia’s $225 closing price. Ark also added Nvidia through several other funds and ETFs.

This move comes at a time when Nvidia continues to benefit from strong AI demand and the rising competition in the domain. Nvidia’s H200 chips have recently been allowed to enter China in limited shipments. Per the report by the Financial Times, ByteDance and Tencent have each received nearly 10,000 H200 processors in recent weeks. However, Reuters has not independently verified the report, while Nvidia has not commented publicly on the shipments.

Ark Cuts Palantir and AMD

While Nvidia was a major capital receiver as Cathie Wood’s AI portfolio was readjusted, the firm has cut its position in AMD and Palantir. The firm sold 25917 AMD shares worth around $13.1M based on AMD’s closing price of $506. On the other hand, the firm sold 22023 Palantir shares through ARKF for roughly $3.8M. This development shows how the Ark Invest AI portfolio is constantly rotating while adopting a cautious stance in the current market.

Ark Invest’s exposure to Nvidia has arrived at a time when the firm is planning to expand its AI infrastructure per Benzinga. Nvidia is also backing an Ohio data center project for OpenAI. The site is expected to support future demand for Nvidia computing systems and infrastructure.

What Such Moves Portray About Ark Invest’s Latest AI Strategy

The latest trade moves made by the Cathie Wood AI portfolio are all indicative of calculative thinking. The firm is moving money within the AI despite diversifying its trades rather than keeping them focused on one aspect of AI.

Ark also purchased shares of Cloudflare, Cerus, and Tempus AI while selling her positions on Twist Bioscience, Roblox, and AtaiBeckley.
