XRP Traders Pile Into Longs as Jeonbuk Bank Deploys Ripple Payments, Fueling Bullish Bets

XRP TOKEN WITH A GRAPHICAL BANKGROUND

The XRP price has been witnessing a volatile phase as of late, hovering around the $1 mark for a while. Despite the bearish market stance at present, Ripple has announced a new partnership with a leading South Korean Jeonbuk Bank, giving Ripple’s payments expansion another boost. This partnership will enable Ripple to deploy Ripple Payments for cross-border business remittances, making Jeonbuk the first regional bank in South Korea to deploy Ripple Payments. That being said, the markets are also looking forward to an XRP rebound, as derivatives traders continue to go long on XRP.

Jeonbuk Bank Adds Fresh Momentum To Ripple Payments

What-Is-XRP-and-How-Does-It-Work

Jeonbuk Bank and Ripple announced a joint partnership today, fueling the XRP ecosystem up a notch. The partnership will emphasize the international payments arena for businesses, including exporters, IT startups, importers, and online content creators. Ripple later stated the same, adding that this service will remain online around the clock, creating a transparent cross-border payment settlement narrative.

While explaining the core functional part of this partnership, Ripple stated,

“Traditional bank transfers pass through multiple intermediary banks via the SWIFT network and can take days to process. Ripple Payments replaces this with near real-time settlement, completing in seconds to minutes, and operating 24/7. Jeonbuk Bank can now offer faster, more transparent, and cost-effective remittance services to its global business customers, including import-export companies, IT startups, and online content creators.”

This development is also particularly noteworthy for Ripple’s broader expansion across Korea. However, the announcement does not confirm whether Jeonbuk Bank will use XRP or RLUSD as a settlement asset. However, the partnership could still support broader optimism around Ripple’s payments expansion and fuel XRP price rebound hopes.

Long positions have lately been surpassing the short ones on major exchanges, suggesting that traders are leaning bullish on an XRP rebound.
