SPCX Stock Forecast: 33 Analysts See 69% Upside as SpaceX Takes Nvidia AI Into Orbit

SpaceX stock has settled close to its $135 IPO price, but Wall Street’s expectations remain considerably higher. The latest analyst data points to substantial upside for SPCX. This comes as investors struggle with the company’s enormous valuation and spending plans. Now, SpaceX is adding another piece to the story with Nvidia-powered AI satellites. The move could push the company into a very different category, and even give investors another reason to rethink where the stock belongs over the next year.

The consensus is notably bullish. Data tracked by TipRanks shows 33 analysts covering SpaceX, with 24 issuing Buy ratings, six Holds and three Sells. The average SpaceX stock price target stands at $228.59, implying about 69% upside from the $135 level. But the range is unusually wide, stretching from $75 to $800.

This says plenty about the uncertainty surrounding a newly public company. SpaceX came to market with a valuation of roughly $1.77 trillion. It gives investors a very large number to justify before the company’s newer businesses are fully established.

The stock has also been volatile since its debut. Shares have traded between $104.83 and $225.64, according to TipRanks, leaving SPCX well below its post-IPO peak.

SpaceX’s latest move could change the way investors view that valuation. The company plans to launch its first Starmind AI1 satellites by the fourth quarter of 2027, using a space-optimized Nvidia Vera Rubin system. SpaceX had previously targeted 2028 for deployment. Nvidia says its Vera Rubin platform is designed to deliver data-center-class AI computing in the power- and space-constrained environment of orbit.

Musk has also said SpaceX plans to use Nvidia chips exclusively for its AI infrastructure. The company expects more than 2 gigawatts of AI computing capacity by the end of 2026 and aims to approach 10 gigawatts by the end of 2027.

This ambition comes with a hefty price tag. Morgan Stanley analyst Adam Jonas expects SpaceX to spend about $53 billion on AI-related capital expenditure in 2026 and another $130 billion in 2027. He has a $300 price target on the stock.

Trump’s SpaceX Investment Adds to the Spotlight

This comes as President Donald Trump disclosed buying between $15,001 and $50,000 of SpaceX shares on June 23, shortly after the IPO, according to Reuters. His portfolio is managed independently, so the purchase should not be treated as an endorsement of the stock.

For SPCX investors, the bigger question is whether SpaceX’s expansion into AI can eventually justify the enormous capital being committed to it. The $228.59 consensus target suggests Wall Street is willing to give Musk’s latest bet plenty of room to develop. The stock still has to prove the economics can catch up.
