BTC ETH XRP TOKENS

The crypto market at present is facing a divided outlook as certain coins continue to fall while others rise up on the radar. In this case, the Federal Reserve’s latest interest rate decision has triggered selling pressure and liquidations in Bitcoin and Ethereum. On the other hand, XRP has been witnessing price fluctuations lately, but its whale holdings have reached their highest share of supply since November 2022. Bitcoin price fluctuations have lately been a cause of concern among investors. BTC was already pricing in ahead of the Federal Reserve interest rate decision. The Fed recently announced its rate decision, keeping the rates unchanged. This, alongside weak tech stocks and uncertainty around interest rates, finally took a toll, plunging Bitcoin price in the process. Bitcoin has fallen below $80K, triggering selling pressure across the market.

The Federal Reserve kept the benchmark interest rate at 3.75% to 4% on October 28. However, concerns about rising inflation and tighter monetary policy continued to weigh on risk appetite. Risky assets like Bitcoin have reflected this stance, by going below the $80K price level.

This decline was also reflected in the leveraged trading arena. Crypto futures positions worth $356M were liquidated over 24 hours, including $205M in long positions.

Ethereum Price Drops Below $2300

The Ethereum price has also weakened alongside Bitcoin’s. The asset has now fallen below $2300 reflecting the selling pressure prevalent across the current crypto market.

Ethereum has been facing pressure from both price weakness and activity in the derivatives market. A recent report by The Block stated how around $137M in Ether positions were liquidated over a four-hour period on October 24, as leveraged traders betting on rising prices faced losses.

According to the MCO comparison tool, Bitcoin recorded a decrease of 0.91x, while Ethereum saw a decrease of 0.78x between January 1 and October 29, 2026. The comparison highlights the pressure on the crypto market, with both assets showing declines over the period. Meanwhile, the XRP price and XRP whales holdings offer another angle to watch as investors assess market sentiment and changes in large-wallet supply concentration.

XRP Whales Holdings Reach A New High

While Bitcoin and Ethereum are stuck battling heavy selling pressure, XRP is trying to resist the change. Its price has certainly experienced its fair share of volatility, but its ecosystem developments have also drawn attention. Firstly, wallets holding at least 10M XRP now account for 68.5% of the token’s supply. This is the highest share that the token has recorded since November 2022.

Large wallets have the power to impact the XRP price narrative, influencing how token supply is held by a relatively smaller number of addresses.

In addition to this, Ripple’s RLUSD is now available through Coinbase’s retail app, enabling users in supported regions to convert US dollars into RLUSD at a 1:1 rate.
