The new Robinhood crypto trading venture will give eligible US users a chance to access perpetual futures. These futures are derivatives without a fixed expiration date.

The company is planning to offer 10x crypto leverage on Bitcoin and Ethereum, while other crypto coins may have a lower leverage limit for users’ safety.

“In the coming months, eligible U.S. customers will be able to trade perpetual futures right inside the Robinhood app. You’ll be able to take long or short positions on BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, DOGE, ADA, LINK, or HYPE with no expiration dates, and up to 10x leverage on BTC and ETH perpetuals (3x leverage on everything else).

Robinhood later shared that it will offer the contracts through its derivatives business with Bitstamp and will be charging one basis point (0.01%) per trade as its average fee.

“Offered by Robinhood Derivatives through Bitstamp, through the end of the year we’ll charge just one basis point per trade (0.01%), which are some of the lowest fees in the industry. You can set stop-loss and take-profit orders, track your liquidation price in real time, and get alerts if a position is at risk.”

This move will give US crypto traders a chance to access perpetual futures through a major retail trading platform.

AI Agents Will Now Help Robinhood Users Make Trades

Robinhood crypto trading narratives are evolving with the company launching AI agents for its users as well. Robinhood is expanding its AI-powered trading tools with Robinhood Agents, bringing AI-powered trading directly into the Robinhood app. The company later shared that these agents will help traders in researching markets, building strategies, and executing trades per instructions given by the traders.

“Today, the future of agentic finance is going mainstream with Robinhood Agents. The experience now lives right inside the Robinhood app, meaning anyone, regardless of their familiarity with AI, can easily build their own agents to help them develop powerful strategies, run detailed research, or trade automatically.”

Robinhood later shared the statistics of its new launch. It said that more than 150,000 customers have already opened agentic accounts. At the same time, the company agents use Robinhood tools nearly 30M times a day.

Robinhood has also introduced Loops, a service that allows users to track the markets and run strategies automatically when a user’s predetermined conditions are met.
