Cathie Wood Sees Tesla and SpaceX Driving Economic Growth
Beyond her latest stock purchases and moves, Cathie Wood shared her opinion on Tesla and SpaceX. She believes both companies are capable of moving real GDP growth from its long-term average of around 3% to between 7% and 9%. Wood later linked this outlook to the rapid development of new technologies and how they may impact productivity. Her broader thesis includes how robotics, artificial intelligence, energy storage, and blockchain technology may improve conditions, helping the economy gain steady development.
Furthermore, Ark also explored the possibility of a Tesla (TSLA)-SpaceX (SPCX) merger, arguing that their shared business interests may create opportunities for both companies. This momentum is also reflected in Ark Invest’s recent purchases. Per a report by The Block, the firm purchased 348,406 SpaceX shares worth approximately $47.36M during Wednesday’s session.
The MCO stock comparison tool also highlights the recent performance of Tesla and SpaceX. Between January 1 and November 6, 2026, Space Exploration Technologies Corp. recorded a decrease of 0.84x, while Tesla registered a decrease of 0.91x.
