Dogecoin Price Prediction for the Rest of 2026 Eyes $0.12 as Bitwise ETF Nears Closure

Dogecoin price

Dogecoin’s price prediction for the remaining months of 2026 points toward a recovery, even as one investment product prepares to shut its doors. The Bitwise Dogecoin ETF is approaching liquidation following a quiet stretch for fund demand. Meanwhile, CoinCodex projects higher prices through December. This leaves Dogecoin holders looking at an optimistic price forecast against an uncomfortable development in the ETF market, with the next few months set to test that outlook.

BWOW’s scheduled final trading day on NYSE Arca is October 14. Bitwise announced the closure in September, describing it as part of an effort to adjust its product range to investor needs.

The fund’s recent Form 25 documents its voluntary withdrawal from listing and registration. The filing advances the previously announced shutdown process.

According to Bitwise’s official notice, investors who retain their shares beyond October 14 will receive cash based on the fund’s October 21 net asset value. Distribution through brokers is expected around October 22.

The Dogecoin ETF closure removes one brokerage-based route to the token. Other tracked DOGE funds remain, making their ability to attract money a separate question.

Other funds have struggled to attract fresh money this month. Maketo’s data shows approximately $399,460 in DOGE ETF outflows on October 12, entirely attributable to Grayscale’s GDOG. BWOW recorded zero net flow.

The tracked funds recorded no positive daily net flows from October 1 through October 12, although most sessions showed no net movement. Those figures followed Bitwise’s shutdown announcement rather than prompting it.

Dogecoin Price Prediction 2026 Points Toward a December Recovery

CoinCodex’s model projects monthly highs of $0.1030 in October, $0.1133 in November, and $0.1189 in December. Its December average forecast stands at $0.1126.

The maximum represents roughly 41% upside from the page’s reference Dogecoin price of $0.08433. The headline’s $0.12 rounds that projected December high, and it does not represent an exact year-end closing forecast.

The same page labels current sentiment bearish, with DOGE below its listed 50-day and 200-day moving averages. This makes the projected recovery a scenario requiring stronger buying, rather than a continuation of established upward momentum.

How Shiba Inu Compares With Dogecoin

MarketCapOf’s comparison places Dogecoin’s market capitalization at approximately $13.25 billion, against $3.05 billion for Shiba Inu, using reference prices of $0.084738 and $0.00000517, respectively.

Holding SHIB’s circulating supply constant, matching that DOGE market cap would imply a Shiba Inu price of approximately $0.00002246. This is 4.34 times its reference price, equivalent to roughly 334% upside.

The calculation shows the valuation gap between the two most popular meme coins. It provides no evidence that ETF withdrawals are moving into SHIB. For Dogecoin, the more immediate test remains whether buying demand can strengthen enough to support the model’s projected recovery through December.
