Meta Stock Eyes Best Month Since 2013 as KeyBanc Targets $900 on Muse

Meta stock

Meta stock has climbed more than 30% in September, putting it on course for its best month since July 2013. The rush followed the launch of Meta Muse, an AI assistant that can handle tasks such as booking travel and making purchases. KeyBanc has raised its price target, and Meta has unveiled a new pair of VR glasses. Investors have had plenty to react to in two weeks. The harder part is judging what any of it will earn.

The September gain has brought Meta stock back into focus after months of questions about the company’s AI spending. Muse’s launch helped change the conversation. According to reports, the shares rose more than 20% between the app’s September 8 debut and September 22, adding over $200 billion to Meta’s market value.

KeyBanc analyst Justin Patterson raised his Meta price target to $900 from $780 and maintained an Overweight rating. Patterson said Muse’s momentum could improve sentiment toward consumer AI. He also expects Meta’s new products to support faster revenue and earnings growth over the medium term.

The target shows how far expectations have moved. Meta has yet to report what Muse earns, and a strong month for the shares can raise the bar for the results investors want to see next.

Muse Gives Meta a New Way to Reach Users

Meta Muse launched with a free version and paid plans at $20 and $100 a month. Meta says the assistant can send emails, book travel, and fill out forms, seeking approval before it sends a message or completes a purchase. Apptopia recorded 2.8 million downloads in its first 12 days, according to reports. It is a strong start, though downloads alone cannot show whether people will keep using it or subscribe.

The rollout has already hit a snag. Amazon said it had not authorized Muse to access its store and asked Meta to remove that shopping experience. Access to outside services matters for an assistant designed to complete tasks across the web.

Meta also wants to bring its AI agent to Meta glasses. Its newly announced VR glasses weigh about 100 grams, with computing hardware and the battery housed in a connected external unit. They are priced at $1,299.99 and scheduled to go on sale in spring 2027.

Currently, the app offers the clearest evidence of interest. Paid use and glasses sales will tell investors more about the business behind September’s rally.
