Vitalik Buterin’s Crypto Wealth Is In Focus Again
In a new statement, Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, has come forward stating how 90% of his net worth is in crypto, highlighting his own financial exposure to the asset class. Buterin was quick to emphasise how AI could become an important tool for improving blockchain security, rather than being used as a hacking tool.
His argument centres on AI-assisted coding and how AI can be used alongside formal verification to make blockchain software more robust and secure.
“Anyone who continues to hold cryptocurrency, including me, 90% of my net worth, is implicitly making that bet. There is no future for blockchains without doing this. We need to make software actually secure.”
His statement about holding 90% of his net worth in crypto highlights his own exposure to the asset class. Buterin’s comments on securing blockchain networks also put the focus on security challenges that could become increasingly important as crypto ownership expands to hundreds of millions of people.
