BNB Chain Plans New L1 With 200ms Blocks as BNB Price Could Near $900 by Year-End

BNB price

BNB Chain is building another blockchain, and holders will not need a separate token to use it. The proposed network promises faster transactions for applications where delays matter, from trading to payments. For investors watching BNB price, the interesting detail is how the existing token fits into those plans. A forecast near $900 adds another point of interest.

The unnamed network would run alongside BNB Smart Chain, with a native bridge connecting the two. Its network documentation lists 200ms block intervals and BNB as its currency. The bridge remains under development, and public network endpoints are not yet available.

BNB would serve transaction fees, staking, and governance without a separate token, according to reports. CZ summed up the approach with “Multiple chains, one coin.” This keeps activity on the proposed network tied to the existing asset.

The EVM blockchain also includes native account abstraction, which supports features such as sponsored gas and batched transactions, alongside an optional privacy pool. These are expected to make applications easier to use while accommodating activity that needs quick execution.

There is still development work ahead. The network is in devnet, where breaking changes are still possible. BNB Chain’s published roadmap targets a testnet by the end of 2026 and mainnet in early 2027. Those dates are plans, while the speed specifications still need testing under public network conditions.

CoinCodex’s BNB price prediction puts the token at $892.33 by the end of 2026, close to the $900 mark. The new network gives holders a development to watch, though its planned mainnet launch falls in early 2027, beyond that forecast window.

Using MarketCapOf’s crypto profit calculator, a hypothetical $5,000 investment at $741.57 would grow to $6,014.27 if BNB reached $892. This represents a $1,014.27 profit, or 20.29%, before fees and taxes. A move to $900 would lift the investment’s value to approximately $6,068.21.

Keeping BNB at the center of another network creates more potential uses for the token. How much that matters will depend on the developers and users it attracts. The public testnet will offer the first clearer look at whether the promised speed gives applications a compelling reason to move there.
