JP Morgan Asset Management has included Bitcoin in its long-term return forecasts for the first time. The firm is now expecting changing BTC dynamics, predicting how Bitcoin may end up delivering 10% annualized returns over the next 10 to 15 years. This prediction surpasses returns generated by US stocks or gold, making it a key highlight at the moment. Moreover, a new Bitcoin prediction has been issued by Michael Saylor. Saylor is of the opinion that AI and robotics may end up devaluing the goods and services, increasing the value of products that cannot be produced in unlimited amounts, such as Bitcoin.

JPMorgan Asset Management’s 2027 long-term capital market assumptions is the new report that covers returns and risks across various asset classes over the next 10 to 15 years. The report has introduced the Bitcoin forecast for the first time in its segment, estimating how the asset is capable of giving annualized returns worth 10% over the next 10 to 15 years.

“J.P. Morgan Asset Management, the investment arm of U.S. banking giant JPMorgan Chase, included Bitcoin in its long-term return forecasts for the first time, projecting a 10% compound annual return over the next 10–15 years, ahead of U.S. large-cap stocks (7.5%), gold (5.5%), and U.S. REITs (8.2%). Its 2027 Long-Term Capital Market Assumptions also estimated Bitcoin’s arithmetic annual return at 20.9%, with 55% annualized volatility.”

The forecast has ended up surpassing the annualized returns predicted for US stocks, which stand at 7.5%. Gold stands at 5.5%. US real estate investment trusts, or REITs, have also been projected to deliver returns of 8.2%. These are lower than Bitcoin’s 10% projected annualized return.

Such estimates signal the growing inclusion of Bitcoin in institutional investment models. It also highlights Bitcoin’s growing popularity and its emergence as an asset that could deliver higher returns than traditional investments in the long term.

Michael Saylor Bitcoin Scarcity Hypothesis

Apart from JPMorgan’s bullish Bitcoin forecast, Michael Saylor, former CEO of Strategy, has come up with a new BTC analogy. Saylor is of the opinion that robots and AI may produce more products at a massive scale. They may also perform more tasks at lower costs. This may eventually end up devaluing some goods and services. In such a case, investors may end up looking for scarce products that cannot be replicated or created in mass volumes. This makes Bitcoin a potential choice of asset for them.

Saylor has categorized Bitcoin under the scarcity header due to its limited supply dynamics. Unlike physical products that can be mass-produced in a factory, Bitcoin has a maximum supply of 21 million coins, making it scarce by design.

These Bitcoin forecasts outline how BTC as an asset is now evolving at its pace. It is now becoming a central asset class while competing with seasoned market players while taking the lead in the domain.

If Bitcoin managed to regain its previous all-time high of $120,000, a $1,000 investment at the current displayed price of $81,743 could generate a profit of approximately $468.02. This would bring the total investment value to around $1,468.02, representing a potential return of 46.80%, excluding fees and taxes per the MarketCapOf crypto calculator.
