The company organizes its operations into four main divisions: Corporate Finance, Retail Wealth Management, Institutional Trading and Support, and Asset Stewardship. Within Corporate Finance, they facilitate equity and debt raising, provide financial advice, and engage in equity, debt, and other investment activities. For individuals, their Retail Wealth Management arm delivers brokerage services for stocks and futures, offers margin lending and securities lending, provides loans collateralized by stocks, gives investment advice, and distributes various financial products. The Institutional Trading and Support division caters to professional institutions with prime brokerage services and research, and also engages in proprietary trading across equities, fixed income, currencies, and commodities for institutional clients. Finally, the Asset Stewardship segment oversees asset management, manages mutual funds, and handles private equity funds. The firm, established in Urumqi, China, in 1988, was previously known as Shenyin Wanguo Securities Co., Ltd. It adopted its current name, Shenwan Hongyuan Group Co., Ltd., in January 2015.
