Shiba Inu Price Falls as CoinEx Winds Down With 442.8B SHIB, Shibarium Gets RPC Update

Shiba Inu price

Shiba Inu has been lying low for a while, but several new updates have put the asset under the spotlight again. CoinEx is preparing to shut down after nearly nine years and still holds a sizable SHIB balance, while Shibarium has quietly fixed an infrastructure issue affecting how wallets and Web3 services connect to the network. Neither development guarantees a big price move, but together they give traders more to watch than another quiet day on the SHIB chart.

Shiba Inu Price Slips as CoinEx Winds Down

The SHIB price was around $0.000005135 at the time of writing, down roughly 2% over 24 hours. Its market value is near $3.03 billion, with about $66.5 million changing hands over the past day. SHIB is also down about 6% over the past week.

The bigger near-term question is what happens to the token balance sitting at CoinEx as the exchange winds down. More recent data shows CoinEx held 442.79 billion SHIB, worth roughly $2.3 million at current prices. The CoinEx Shiba Inu balance has already fallen sharply from about 1.69 trillion tokens in December 2022, a decline of nearly 73%.

It does not mean 442.8 billion SHIB is heading straight to the market. CoinEx says user assets remain fully backed, with withdrawals staying open until December 22. Spot trading is scheduled to end on September 29 as part of the exchange’s staged closure.

Shibarium Gets RPC Fix as Price Outlook Stays Soft

While CoinEx is shrinking its footprint, Shibarium has pushed through a small but useful technical fix. The network’s RPC listing was refreshed in the ethereum-lists/chains registry, replacing an outdated endpoint with the official Shibarium RPC. GitHub shows that pull request #8699 was opened specifically to fix the Shibarium entry. The change matters for wallets and infrastructure providers that rely on the registry for connection details.

Moving back to the price setup, it seems to be less encouraging. Recent data showed 22 bearish technical indicators against eight bullish ones, giving its short-term Shiba Inu price prediction a bearish reading. Its live model currently sees SHIB staying close to present levels over the next several days rather than staging an immediate breakout.

At present, the network is getting tidier behind the scenes while the token itself remains stuck near the lower end of its recent range.
