Its operations span France, the United Kingdom, Italy, and numerous other international regions. EDF harnesses a broad spectrum of energy sources for electricity production, such as nuclear, fossil fuels, hydroelectric, solar, wind, biomass, biogas, thermal, and cogeneration plants. The company also oversees the management of public electricity distribution networks for both low and medium voltages, while simultaneously operating, maintaining, and developing the nation's high and very-high-voltage electricity transmission infrastructure. In addition, EDF provides critical services, equipment, and fuel for nuclear reactors. Beyond these core activities, it participates in commodity trading and offers various energy services, including district heating and thermal energy solutions. EDF serves an extensive clientele of approximately 38.5 million, encompassing residential users, industrial entities, small businesses, and local authorities. The company was established in Paris, France, in 1946, and was previously a subsidiary of The EDF Group.
