Anthropic could reach the stock market before Thanksgiving, with its financing arrangements already drawing attention. The reported Anthropic IPO timetable puts a public debut weeks away, while Broadcom has agreed to help fund the company’s computing needs. President Donald Trump has also left open the possibility of US government ownership. These developments have started to give investors a better look into Anthropic’s growth.

Anthropic IPO Could Arrive Before Thanksgiving

Anthropic is seeking a listing as early as mid-November, according to reports citing people familiar with the plans. Marketing could begin during the week of November 9, potentially allowing trading to start before Thanksgiving on November 26. The timetable remains provisional.
The listing would give public investors a chance to price the Claude developer against its spending commitments. Reports noted that the offering could put Anthropic’s valuation at $2 trillion. This figure remains a possibility ahead of the sale, rather than an established market capitalization.
Broadcom Financing Covers About a Third of a Major Lease Commitment
Broadcom has agreed to lend Anthropic up to $42 billion for infrastructure spending, according to the IPO filing. The arrangement involves debt that could convert into Anthropic shares. The company said it did not expect notes to be sold before completing its IPO.
The financing could cover roughly a third of Anthropic’s $125.2 billion commitment for a five-year lease of tensor processing unit computing capacity. Broadcom’s involvement extends beyond lending. It also supplies hardware, and Anthropic’s filing flags potential conflicts arising from those overlapping roles. Certain defaults could bring substantial lease payments forward while restricting access to the financing facility.

For prospective shareholders, the financing terms matter along with the headline amount. Access to computing capacity supports expansion, but the lease commitments leave Anthropic with substantial bills to meet.
Trump Leaves Open a US Government Stake
Asked whether the US government should take stakes in OpenAI and Anthropic, Trump told TIME, “I might. Maybe I could do that.” He had rejected nationalizing the leading AI laboratories earlier in the exchange.
Trump pointed to the government’s Intel investment when discussing possible stakes in AI companies. His reference to a 10% stake concerned Intel. He specified no percentage for Anthropic or OpenAI and announced no agreement.
Anthropic’s IPO terms will give investors something firmer to assess. Until then, the proposed listing date, financing commitments, and possibility of government ownership each carry a different level of certainty.
