Purple Biotech Ltd., a clinical-stage company, is focused on creating therapies for cancer patients in the United States, specifically addressing challenges like tumor immune evasion and drug resistance. Its diverse oncology pipeline includes CM24, a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets and blocks carcinoembryonic antigen related cell adhesion molecule 1 (CEACAM1). Currently in Phase 2 clinical trials, CM24 is being investigated as a combination therapy with anti-PD-1 checkpoint inhibitors for treating pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. Another candidate is NT219, a small molecule compound in Phase 1/2 clinical trials, which functions by inhibiting insulin receptor substrate 1 and 2 (IRS1/2) and signal transducer and activator of transcription (STAT).
