Additionally, the company produces and markets an absorbent material derived from organic peat moss, specifically designed for mitigating spills of oil and other hydrocarbon-based substances. Consolidated Eco-Systems serves a diverse range of industries, including petrochemicals, agricultural chemicals, the oil and gas sector (encompassing exploration, refining, and marketing, as well as pipeline operations), pulp and paper/forest products, manufacturing, waste management and disposal, state and local government agencies, and legal practices. Established in 1930 under the name Sentinel Mines Corporation, the company was subsequently renamed Exsorbet Industries, Inc. in November 1993, and then adopted its present identity as Consolidated Eco-Systems, Inc. in January 1997. The firm is headquartered in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
