The company's core production encompasses gold and platinum group metals (PGMs) such as palladium, platinum, and rhodium, alongside valuable by-products like iridium, ruthenium, nickel, copper, and chrome. In the United States, Sibanye Stillwater owns and operates the East Boulder and Stillwater mines in Montana, also managing the Columbus metallurgical complex, which is responsible for smelting mined materials into PGM-rich filter cake and conducting PGM recycling activities. Across South Africa, its PGM operations include Kroondal, Rustenburg, Marikana, and Platinum Mile, while the Mimosa operation is located in Zimbabwe's southern region. South African gold assets comprise the Driefontein, Kloof, and Cooke surface operations situated on the West Rand of the Witwatersrand Basin, in addition to the Beatrix mine in the southern Free State. Beyond these, the company holds interests in various surface tailings retreatment facilities and is involved in several key development projects, including the Marathon PGM project in Ontario, Canada; the Altar and Rio Grande copper-gold projects nestled in the Andes of north-west Argentina; and the Hoedspruit, Burnstone, and southern Free State gold projects within South Africa. Sibanye Stillwater Limited was established in 2013 and has its corporate headquarters in Weltevreden Park, South Africa.
