The company manages its operations through two principal divisions: Oil & Gas Proppants and Industrial & Specialty Products. Its product range encompasses diverse whole-grain commercial silica, which serves as fracturing sand for oil and natural gas extraction, as well as specific whole-grain silica varieties varying in size, shape, and chemical purity, tailored for glass production. Additionally, U.S. Silica supplies whole-grain round silica to the foundry industry, provides ground silica and various industrial mineral products for numerous applications, and manufactures engineered performance materials utilizing diatomaceous earth (DE), clay, and perlite. Beyond its product offerings, the company delivers essential support services including transportation, equipment rental, and contract labor. U.S. Silica caters to an extensive array of clients, from oilfield services and exploration and production companies engaged in hydraulic fracturing, to industries such as building materials, chemicals, fillers and extenders, filtration, glass, recreation, and testing sectors.
