The company's core operations revolve around mining nickel saprolite and limonite ores, alongside limestone and various quarry materials, throughout the Philippine archipelago. Operating through distinct Mining, Services, and Power segments, Nickel Asia manages four key mines: Rio Tuba, Taganito, Cagdianao, and Taganaan. In addition to these active sites, it maintains a portfolio of properties undergoing exploration for nickel, gold, and copper deposits. The nickel saprolite and limonite ores extracted are predominantly exported. These ores are vital inputs for producing ferronickel and nickel pig iron, which are subsequently used in stainless steel manufacturing. Limonite ore also plays a role in generating pig iron for carbon steel production. Beyond its mining endeavors, the Services segment encompasses the provision of marine services, the chartering of landing craft transport, and aircraft leasing. The company's interests further extend to the exploration, exploitation, and mining of other metallic minerals like iron, cobalt, and chromite, as well as various non-metallic minerals. It also participates in general engineering construction, materials handling for sectors such as construction, manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution, and engages in renewable energy generation through its Power division. Complementary business activities include trading, manufacturing, real estate development, and agribusiness.
