Kuzbasskaya Toplivnaya Company PJSC (KBTK), along with its affiliates, primarily engages in the extraction and production of thermal coal. The company's operations are segmented into four main areas: domestic sales of its self-produced coal, international exports of its coal, the resale of coal procured from other producers, and various other business activities. KBTK operates open-cast mines located exclusively within Russia's Kemerovo region. Beyond mining, it is also involved in the wholesale distribution of coal, serving both Russian and global markets. Furthermore, the company extends its reach to retail customers, supplying coal to households, municipal facilities, and commercial heating systems through its established distribution networks in the Kemerovo, Omsk, Novosibirsk, and Altai regions of Russia, as well as in Poland. Its diverse services portfolio also includes trading coal acquired from third-party miners, generating electricity, heat, and hot water, providing storage and railway transportation solutions, and land leasing. KBTK maintains an operational presence across Russia, the European Union, and Asia. Founded in Kemerovo, Russia, in 2000, the firm has operated as a subsidiary of Kilton Overseas Limited since February 27, 2020.
