Heat Biologics, Inc. is an integrated biopharmaceutical company focused on creating immune-modulating therapies and vaccines. The firm's primary goal is to harness the immune system to fight a variety of illnesses, including both cancerous growths and infectious diseases. A cornerstone of their approach is the gp96 platform, which comprises two key components: ImPACT, an allogenic cell-based system designed to stimulate and proliferate T-cells as an immune activator, and ComPACT, a singular product engineered to achieve both antigen-driven T-cell activation and specific co-stimulation simultaneously. Their development pipeline includes several clinical-stage assets. HS-110 has finished enrolling patients for its Phase II trial targeting advanced non-small cell lung cancer, while HS-130 is currently in a Phase I clinical trial for advanced solid tumors. Furthermore, PTX-35, a novel T-cell co-stimulator agonist antibody that acts on DR3/TNFRSF25, is being evaluated in a Phase I clinical trial for diverse immunotherapy applications. The company is also advancing a COVID-19 vaccine, which is currently in the preclinical stage. Heat Biologics, Inc. has partnered with Dr. James Shapiro at the University of Alberta to develop a surrogate mouse version of PTX-35. The company was founded in 2008 and is headquartered in Morrisville, North Carolina.
