The company focuses on the research, development, sale, and servicing of systems built around its proprietary Reverse Polymerization process and related delivery technology. These innovative systems address a variety of waste challenges, including the conversion of tires and other rubber materials into their foundational elements such as carbon black, steel, and hydrocarbon vapors. EWI also offers specialized units for sterilizing biological wastewater, managing and sanitizing shipboard food waste, and processing infectious medical waste in batches. Its product lineup includes the FS-6000 and FS-POD for biocontainment and wastewater sterilization, the MD-1000, a multi-stage medical waste reduction unit that generates a sterilized carbon residue, and the AW-1000, which processes animal waste into its constituent components. Established in 1987, Environmental Waste International Inc. is based in Whitby, Canada.
