The Broadband segment provides a variety of optoelectronic components. These include cable TV (CATV) lasers and transmitters crucial for forward and return path broadband operations, subassembly components, analog fiber-optic transmitters, quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) transmitters, and CATV fiber amplifiers. Additionally, EMCORE supplies high-power gain chips, photodiode products, and GPON fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) and data center chip products, primarily for the telecommunications industry. The company's offerings also extend to lasers, receivers, and photodetector components utilized in wireless, distributed sensing, and Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) applications. EMCORE targets diverse markets including CATV, optical sensing, telecommunications, data centers, navigation, and defense optoelectronics. Its products reach customers through a combination of a direct sales force, application engineers, third-party sales representatives, and distributors.
