It also markets seismic data processing software under the Geovation brand. Furthermore, this division offers expert geoscience and petroleum engineering consulting, in addition to data management services and software. It also plays a role in gathering, developing, and licensing geological data, notably through its Robertson brand. The Equipment segment is responsible for the manufacturing and sale of seismic equipment essential for both land and marine data acquisition. This includes various seismic recording devices, complementary software, and seismic sources such as land vibrators or marine arrays, distributed under brands like Sercel, Metrolog, GRC, and DeRegt. This segment also provides crucial customer support services, including specialized training. Viridien's offerings are applied across a wide range of fields, including natural resources, environmental protection, infrastructure development, energy transition initiatives, and digital applications. Originally founded in 1931 as Compagnie Gรฉnรฉrale de Gรฉophysique โ€” Veritas SA, the company adopted the name CGG in 2013 and is headquartered in Massy, France.
