The company is organized into three distinct business segments: Kalmar, Hiab, and MacGregor. The Kalmar segment provides advanced cargo handling machinery and automated terminal solutions, catering to ports, terminals, distribution centers, and a variety of industrial sectors. Its extensive product portfolio includes ship-to-shore cranes, rubber-tyred and rail-mounted gantry cranes, straddle and shuttle carriers, reachstackers, empty container handlers, terminal tractors, forklift trucks, and automated guided vehicles. Kalmar also offers automation systems, Bromma spreaders, and comprehensive support services such as maintenance contracts, technical assistance, spare parts, training, and crane upgrade programs. The Hiab segment focuses on loader handling equipment, offering various brands like HIAB, EFFER, and ARGOS for general loader handling. It also supplies MOFFETT and PRINCETON truck-mounted forklifts; LOGLIFT and JONSERED cranes for forestry and recycling; MULTILIFT hooklifts and skiploaders; and ZEPRO, DEL, and WALTCO tail lifts. This segment also incorporates the HiConnect digital platform, Hiab ProCare service offerings, and the HiVision crane operating system. Finally, the MacGregor segment delivers specialized cargo and load handling solutions alongside crucial maintenance services. Cargotec Corporation was established in 2005 and maintains its corporate headquarters in Helsinki, Finland.
