The company was formerly known as Carr's Milling Industries PLC until its rebranding to Carr's Group plc in April 2015. Its Agriculture division primarily focuses on animal health and farm supplies. It produces and distributes various livestock supplementation products, including feed blocks (marketed under the Crystalyx, Horslyx, and SmartLic brands), boluses (Tracesure), and protein products (AminoMax). This segment also supplies heating oil, petrol, and diesel to agricultural, commercial, and retail customers. Furthermore, it manages around 40 retail outlets offering a broad selection of agricultural and household goods, such as farm machinery, apparel, and pet provisions. The Engineering division specializes in designing and manufacturing advanced process plant and equipment. It serves demanding industries like nuclear, petrochemical, naval defence, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, general process, and renewable energy. Its expertise encompasses remote handling equipment, robotics, bespoke fabrication, and high-precision machining. This division also delivers tailored solutions to highly regulated markets, including nuclear defence, decommissioning, and power generation. Beyond these core business areas, the group also holds financial and property assets.
