Atlantica Sustainable Infrastructure plc is a company dedicated to owning, operating, and investing in a diverse portfolio of sustainable infrastructure assets. Its operations span renewable energy, energy storage solutions, natural gas and district heating facilities, electricity transmission networks, and water infrastructure. The company maintains an international presence across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay, Spain, Italy, Algeria, and South Africa. The firm's extensive asset base comprises 39 distinct properties. These include facilities generating 2,044 megawatts (MW) from renewable sources and 343 MW from natural gas-fired power plants. Atlantica also manages 55 thermal megawatts of district heating capacity. Additionally, its infrastructure encompasses 1,229 miles of electric transmission lines and water desalination assets capable of processing 17.5 million cubic feet per day. Originally known as Atlantica Yield plc, the company officially rebranded to Atlantica Sustainable Infrastructure plc in May 2020. It was founded in 2013 and maintains its corporate headquarters in Brentford, United Kingdom.
