The firm is dedicated to discovering and advancing a pipeline of oral and respiratory biologic drug candidates, designed to address a variety of medical conditions including autoimmune, inflammatory, and metabolic diseases. Among its investigational treatments, AMT-101 stands out as the lead candidate. This orally administered, gastrointestinal (GI)-selective biologic, derived from rhIL-10, is presently in Phase II clinical trials for the management of ulcerative colitis and other related inflammatory indications. AMTI is also further developing AMT-126, another oral, GI-selective biologic that harnesses interleukin 22. This compound is currently undergoing Phase I clinical studies for the treatment of disorders stemming from impaired intestinal epithelial barrier function. The company's innovative technology platform allows for the creation and development of a broad spectrum of oral biologic therapeutic approaches, such as peptides, proteins, antibodies, antibody fragments, and ribonucleic acid (RNA) therapeutics.
