AB Science S.A. is a pharmaceutical company dedicated to the discovery, development, and commercialization of protein kinase inhibitors for applications in both human and animal health. Its primary drug candidate, masitinib, a tyrosine kinase inhibitor, is currently undergoing late-stage (Phase III) clinical investigations for a range of serious conditions including prostate cancer, pancreatic cancer, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, severe asthma, and mastocytosis. Additionally, masitinib is being evaluated in Phase II clinical trials for the treatment of Covid-19. The company's pipeline also features AB8939, a synthetic microtubule destabilizer aimed at treating acute myeloid leukemia, and AB20001, which is in Phase 2 trials to assess the safety and efficacy of masitinib combined with isoquercetin in hospitalized patients experiencing moderate to severe COVID-19. Masitinib is sold under the brand name Masivet in the European market. AB Science S.A. was founded in 2001 and is based in Paris, France.
