The company's operations are strategically divided into five key segments. Its foundational Transportation division oversees comprehensive railway and bus services. The Real Estate segment is involved in property transactions, including sales and leasing, the distribution of construction materials, and real estate surveying and design. Under its Retail Distribution arm, Keihan manages department stores, various other retail outlets, and shopping centers. The Leisure and Service sector focuses on hospitality, operating hotels and offering sightseeing cruises. Finally, an 'Others' segment includes its credit card business. Established in 1906 as Keihan Electric Railway Co., Ltd., the company maintains its corporate headquarters in Osaka, Japan.
