Tamron Co.,Ltd. is a Japanese corporation, established in 1948 and headquartered in Saitama, that specializes in the production and sale of high-precision optical goods. The company organizes its operations into three primary divisions. Its Photo-Related Business segment offers a range of interchangeable lenses designed for both mirrorless and single-lens reflex cameras. The Monitoring & FA Related Business segment provides optical solutions such as surveillance camera lenses, FA/machine vision lenses, video conferencing lenses, and various camera modules. The third segment, Mobility & Healthcare, Other Business, focuses on products like in-vehicle cameras, video cameras, digital cameras, drone components, medical lenses, and diverse optical device parts. Beyond these segments, Tamron also produces lenses for IP/CCTV systems and long-wavelength infrared cameras, alongside optical device units and precision injection molds made from engineering plastic. The company maintains a global footprint, conducting business across Japan, Asia, North America, Europe, and other international markets. Originally known as Taisei Optical Equipment Manufacturing Inc., the firm adopted the name Tamron Co.,Ltd. in April 1970.
