Ethereum Price Eyes $3,000 & Best September Since 2016 as BlackRock ETFs Add $1B

Ethereum price

Ethereum price gains have put $3,000 within reach heading into September’s final week, with BlackRock’s funds adding roughly $1 billion in ETH over 20 trading days. The cryptocurrency is also on course for its strongest September since 2016, based on the month’s performance so far. But buyers still have ground to cover. A large transfer from Alameda-linked wallets and a forecast below $3,000 leave the month-end target far from settled.

BlackRock’s Ethereum ETF Purchases Top $1 Billion

BlackRock’s two Ethereum funds purchased approximately $1.01 billion in ETH over the previous 20 trading days, according to Arkham figures. ETHA accounted for $787.2 million, while ETHB contributed $221.2 million.

Arkham also reported that ETHB attracted inflows on 13 of its previous 14 trading days. The iShares Staked Ethereum Trust ETF offers exposure to Ether’s price alongside rewards from staking part of its holdings.

The purchases reflect demand through BlackRock’s investment products, rather than a corporate treasury bet. Their persistence supports the case for further gains, although the 20-day total cannot establish how much buying will continue through September 30.

Ethereum Price Prediction Leaves $3,000 Just Out of Reach

At roughly $2,750, Ethereum needs another 9.1% advance to reach $3,000. September 23 price reporting placed ETH near that starting point.

According to CoinGlass, a 12.02% monthly gain puts Ethereum on track for its best September since 2016, when it rose 14.53%.

But a CoinCodex forecast projected $2,947.47 for September 29 and $2,942.32 for September 30. Even its October 2 estimate, $2,994.52, fell below the target. These algorithmic projections update over time and do not rule out an intraday move above $3,000.

Alameda Research Transfer Adds Potential Selling Pressure

Lookonchain flagged 23,639 ETH, valued at approximately $65.05 million, moving from Alameda Research and FTX bankruptcy estate-linked wallets to Wintermute. It interpreted the deposit as preparation for selling, according to transaction reporting.

The transfer does not confirm a completed sale or immediate selling on an exchange. But it does introduce potential supply as buyers try to extend the rally.

A September move to $3,000 remains possible. The ETF purchases and recent breakout support that attempt it, but the available forecast still points to a finish below it.
