It also holds an 85% interest in the Mabesekwa Coal Independent Power Project located in Botswana; and 65% interest in the Benga Power Plant Project located in the Tete province of Mozambique. In addition, the company owns Bordersley power plant located near Birmingham. Further, it engages in power generation and treasury businesses. The company was formerly known as Kibo Mining Plc and changed its name to Kibo Energy PLC in 2018. Kibo Energy PLC was incorporated in 2008 and is based in Galway, Ireland.
