InflaRx N.V. operates as a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical firm, specializing in the identification and advancement of C5a inhibitors. Their primary operational territories are Germany and the United States. C5a, an inflammatory mediator, plays a critical role in the advancement of various autoimmune and inflammatory conditions. The company's leading therapeutic candidate, vilobelimab, is an innovative, intravenously administered, first-in-class monoclonal antibody designed to target C5a. This compound has successfully completed Phase III clinical trials for treating hidradenitis suppurativa, a severe, chronic, and debilitating systemic inflammatory skin disease. Furthermore, vilobelimab is undergoing Phase II trials for anti-neutrophil cytoplasm antibody associated vasculitis, a rare and life-threatening autoimmune disorder.
