Beyond products, it offers expert software-related services such as consulting, implementation, and training, applying deep product design and development expertise from component-level analysis to complete product engineering across the entire lifecycle. Client Engineering Services Segment: This division focuses on providing direct engineering support to clients. Furthermore, Altair develops and markets solid-state lighting technology, specifically LED lamps designed to directly replace fluorescent tubes, utilizing its proprietary communication and control protocols. Its sophisticated, integrated software suite empowers users to optimize design performance across multiple engineering disciplines, including structural integrity, motion dynamics, fluid dynamics, thermal management, electromagnetics, system modeling, and embedded systems. Altair serves a broad and varied customer base, which includes academic institutions, governmental bodies, manufacturing enterprises, pharmaceutical companies, financial services firms (banking, finance, insurance), meteorological agencies, and electronics design companies. Founded in 1985, Altair Engineering Inc. maintains its corporate headquarters in Troy, Michigan.
