Its extensive operations also encompass the production and sale of non-food goods like steel cans, plastic resins, soap bases and bars, biodiesel, glycerin, fatty acids, collagen, and packaging materials, alongside a comprehensive range of leather products from wet blue to finished goods. JBS actively manages industrial waste, trades soybeans, and is involved in the generation, cogeneration, and commercialization of electric power. The company's diversified portfolio further includes interests in tallow, palm oil, caustic soda, stearin, dog biscuits, hygiene and personal care products, and sausage casings, in addition to providing transportation services. Supporting its vast network, JBS operates distribution centers and harbors, offering critical services such as cattle fattening, logistics, warehousing, and comprehensive waste management and recycling solutions. The company also trades cooked frozen meats and runs specialized retail outlets like Mercado da Carne, which focuses on beef and related items. Its extensive product offerings are sold under numerous globally recognized brands. Originally established in 1953 as Friboi Ltda., JBS S.A. maintains its headquarters in São Paulo, Brazil.
