The company's operations span the entire hydrocarbon value chain, from searching for and drilling crude oil across onshore, offshore, and shale fields, to its refining, processing, commercialization, and logistical transport, including natural gas and other liquid hydrocarbons. Petrobras structures its extensive activities into several specialized divisions: Exploration and Production: This segment focuses on identifying, developing, and producing crude oil, natural gas liquids, and natural gas, primarily channeling these resources to the company's domestic refining infrastructure. Refining, Transportation and Marketing: This unit oversees the refinement, logistics, distribution, marketing, and trading of crude oil and refined products. It also handles ethanol exports, shale extraction and processing, and maintains investments in petrochemical companies.
