Its diverse activities are structured into key divisions: Integrated Gas, Upstream, Marketing, Chemicals and Products, and Renewables and Energy Solutions. The company's upstream endeavors include the exploration and extraction of crude oil, natural gas, and associated liquids. It also handles the marketing and transportation of these resources, producing gas-to-liquids fuels, and maintaining the vital infrastructure required to bring gas to consumers. Beyond extraction, Shell actively engages in trading and marketing natural gas, liquefied natural gas (LNG), crude oil, electricity, and carbon credits.
