It also produces specialized effect pigments extensively utilized in applications such as automotive coatings, cosmetics, and various industrial and plastics manufacturing. MERCK maintains strategic partnerships with Pfizer Inc., has an agreement with Novartis AG, and holds license arrangements with Debiopharm International SA and MoonLake Immunotherapeutics AG. Established in 1668, the firm's headquarters are located in Darmstadt, Germany, and it operates as a subsidiary of E. Merck Kommanditgesellschaft.
