Beyond its primary electricity operations, Cemig is active in the procurement, transport, and supply of natural gas and its derivatives. The company's diverse portfolio further includes offering cloud solutions, IT infrastructure, IT management, and cybersecurity services, alongside developing specialized technology systems for the operational oversight of public service concessions. Other business areas encompass energy trading, telecommunications, distributed power generation, customer account services, cogeneration, energy efficiency initiatives, and comprehensive supply and storage management. Cemig was established in 1952 and maintains its corporate headquarters in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
