This platform is specifically designed to assist healthcare practitioners and students with clinical decision-making by providing essential tools such as medical calculators, reference charts, up-to-date content, prescription guidance, clinical scoring systems, details on medical procedures, and laboratory examination information. While strong in medicine, Afya's educational portfolio spans a broader spectrum of health sciences, including dentistry, nursing, radiology, psychology, pharmacy, physical education, physiotherapy, nutrition, and biomedicine. Furthermore, the company extends its academic offerings beyond healthcare to include undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs in diverse subjects like business administration, accounting, law, civil engineering, industrial engineering, and pedagogy. The company further enhances its educational ecosystem by providing specialized postgraduate medical programs, both printed and digital educational materials, an online medical learning platform, and hands-on medical training opportunities. As of December 31, 2021, Afya maintained an extensive network of 46 undergraduate and graduate medical school campuses, which included 30 operational undergraduate units and five approved units. This infrastructure supported a total capacity of 2,731 medical school seats, with 2,481 actively operating and an additional 278 seats approved for future use. Established in 1999, Afya Limited is headquartered in Nova Lima, Brazil.
