However, in January 2001, NorthPoint sought Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection through the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. This Chapter 11 filing was subsequently converted to a Chapter 7 liquidation on June 12, 2001, by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California, San Francisco Division.
