In addition, the company engages in the purchase, distribution, and sale of natural gas to retail customers, as well as transportation of customer-owned natural gas in Southeastern, East-Central, and Northern Wisconsin. The company was incorporated in 1896 and is based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Wisconsin Electric Power Company operates as a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, Inc.
