The Shyft Group, Inc. is a prominent manufacturer and assembler of specialized vehicles, serving both the commercial and recreational vehicle industries in the United States and globally. The company conducts its operations through two primary segments: Fleet Vehicles and Services, and Specialty Vehicles. The Fleet Vehicles and Services division is responsible for manufacturing and distributing commercial vehicles essential for sectors such as e-commerce, last-mile and parcel delivery, beverage and grocery distribution, laundry and linen services, mobile retail, and various trades and construction applications. This includes walk-in vans, cutaway vans, and truck bodies, marketed under brands like Aeromaster, Velocity, Trademaster, and Utilivan. The segment also offers vocation-specific equipment upfit services through its Utilimaster Upfit Services and Strobes-R-Us brands. Furthermore, it installs custom interior and exterior up-fit equipment for walk-in vans, truck bodies, cargo vans, and light-duty pick-up trucks, complemented by aftermarket support that includes parts sales, field services, and a comprehensive range of parts and accessories. The Specialty Vehicles division focuses on engineering and producing luxury Class A diesel motorhome chassis, as well as manufacturing and assembling truck bodies marketed under the Royal Truck Body and DuraMag brands. This segment also provides final assembly services for Isuzu N-gas and F-series chassis through its Builtmore Contract Manufacturing brand. Additionally, it designs and implements custom lighting and upfit solutions for various niche industries. The segment supplies truck accessories under the Magnum brand and offers an extensive selection of parts, accessories, and maintenance and repair services for its motorhome and specialty chassis products. The Shyft Group, Inc. distributes its diverse product line to a wide array of customers, including commercial enterprises, original equipment manufacturers, dealerships, private individuals, municipalities, and other government entities. Founded in 1975, the company operated as Spartan Motors, Inc. until its renaming to The Shyft Group, Inc. in June 2020. Its headquarters are situated in Novi, Michigan.
