This extensive retail footprint included 316 stores catering to missy, petite, and general women's sizing, 77 outlet stores, 31 Christopher & Banks branded stores, and 28 C.J. Banks stores, which specialized in women's plus-size clothing. The company also maintained an online presence through christopherandbanks.com, an e-commerce platform for both its Christopher & Banks and C.J. Banks brands. Founded in 1956 and headquartered in Plymouth, Minnesota, the company was initially known as Braun's Fashions Corporation before rebranding as Christopher & Banks Corporation in July 2000. Facing severe financial difficulties, Christopher & Banks Corporation filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization on January 13, 2021. This voluntary petition was subsequently converted to a Chapter 7 liquidation process on April 13, 2021.
